Free, about two minutes, one check a day
AI visibility check
See what two AI models with live web search say about your business: whether their facts match your website, and whether they name you when a buyer asks who to hire.
Starting your check
This usually takes one to two minutes. Keep this page open; the report appears here and is also emailed to you.
The AI visibility check is busy today. Please try again tomorrow.
Meanwhile, you can run our free website audit, or check by hand with our guide: what AI assistants say about your business.
What the AI visibility check looks at
The check asks OpenAI's model and Anthropic's Claude six questions, each in a separate request with web search turned on and the search location set to your country.
- Accuracy (three questions). What does your business do, where is it based and which areas does it serve, and how can someone contact you? Each fact in the answers is compared with your home, About and Contact pages and marked as matching, contradicting your site, or not found on it.
- Visibility (three questions). The questions a buyer might ask, such as who the best companies for your service in your city are. For each answer you see whether your business is named, which other businesses are named instead, and which websites the model cited. The third question names your business, so only the first two (the open questions) count towards how often you are named.
You get the report on this page and as a PDF by email, with a short list of what to fix first.
How it works
- You enter your business details. Name, website, main service, city or region, and country, plus where to send the report.
- We read your website. Your home page and, if we can find them from its links, your About and Contact pages. We note the facts they state: services, locations, phone, email, address, founding year and your structured data.
- We ask both models the six questions. The questions are fixed, so every business gets the same test.
- We compare. A separate step lists the claims in each answer and checks them against the facts from your pages. If your pages do not state a fact, it is marked “not found on your site”, never guessed.
- You get the report. On this page and by email, usually within two minutes.
What it can and cannot tell you
It is a snapshot of what two models said on one day, not a measurement.
- The answers come from the OpenAI and Anthropic APIs. The ChatGPT and Claude apps, Google's AI features and other assistants can answer differently.
- Answers change from day to day and with the wording of a question. Running the same check again can give a different result.
- It compares the answers only with your home, About and Contact pages. A fact stated elsewhere on your site may be marked “not found on your site”.
- It does not measure how often AI assistants recommend you, and it is not a score. “Named in 1 of 2 open buyer questions” is a count for that day, nothing more.
- The comparison step is automated and can misread an answer. Check anything important yourself before you act on it.
How to fix what it finds
Most wrong answers trace back to a source you can correct.
- Your own site. State your name, what you do, where you work and how to reach you plainly on the home, About and Contact pages, and remove old pages that say otherwise.
- Structured data. Add
Organizationmarkup with your address, contact details, founding date andsameAslinks to your own profiles, matching the visible text. - Business listings. Keep Google Business Profile and Bing Places correct and identical to your site.
- The sources the models cited. Update directories and profiles you control, and ask other publishers to correct facts that are wrong.
Our guide what AI assistants say about your business explains each fix and how to check by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI visibility check free?
Yes. There is no payment. We ask for your name and email so we can send you the report as a PDF, and each email address and device can run one check a day.
Which AI models does it ask?
OpenAI's GPT model and Anthropic's Claude, through their APIs with web search turned on. The report names the exact model versions that answered.
Is this what ChatGPT and Claude show my customers?
Not exactly. The apps add their own settings, memory and features, and answers change from day to day. The check shows what the models said through their APIs, with web search, on the date shown.
What does it compare the answers with?
Your home page, and your About and Contact pages if we can find them from the home page's links. If none of those pages states a fact, the report marks it as not found on your site rather than guessing.
Why is my business not named in the buyer questions?
Models name the businesses they find and trust for that question. Common reasons are a service or city that is not stated clearly on your site, missing or inconsistent business listings, and few mentions on other sites. The report lists the sources the models cited, which shows where to start.
What do you send to OpenAI and Anthropic?
The business name, website, service, city and country you enter, built into six fixed questions, and the facts read from your public pages. Your own name and email address are not sent to them.
What do you do with my details?
We email the report to you and send a copy with your details to our team so we can follow up. A completed report is kept for up to 30 days so the page can show it, and the same check is reused for 24 hours. Our privacy policy has the details.
How often should I run it?
After you change your pages, structured data or business listings, and every month or two otherwise. Corrections can take weeks to show in AI answers.
Can you fix what it finds?
Yes. Our AI search optimisation service corrects the pages, structured data and listings that AI assistants read, and checks the answers again afterwards.
Want AI assistants to describe you correctly?
We fix the pages, structured data and business listings that AI assistants read, then check the answers again. Tell us what the check found and we will say what is worth fixing first.
