Overview
A vehicle tracking service needed its Android app to stay connected to iBeacons while in the background or with the screen locked. We built the connectivity layer: automatic connection to nearby beacons, immediate stop when a beacon leaves range, trip start and finish notifications, updated tracking lists, and a foreground service so Android Oreo and later keep the connection alive.
