MyAddressPin: unique map ID for any location
A digital address service: users create a unique 8-digit MapID for any location, share it and get route guidance, on a Node.js web app and Flutter mobile apps sharing one Firebase back end.
Overview
MyAddressPin lets users create a unique ID for any location on the world map, a MapID that replaces a lengthy postal address. Users can create MapIDs for their office, home or any other place to make it easy to find and to get route guidance from anywhere. The web app and the mobile apps share one real-time Firebase instance.
What we built
- Creation of an 8-digit MapID for any location, with as many MapIDs as the user wants and a favourites list
- Public MapIDs of a user's contacts, and a list of contacts who have joined
- Search for any MapID and route planning, with route guidance from the current location
- Sharing a MapID by SMS and WhatsApp, and sharing a live location with anyone
- A web app built with Node.js and Express.js that saves data directly in Firebase
- Flutter mobile apps that use the same Firebase instance in real time
