- MQTT
- Payworks
Overview
A maker of sauna tubs wanted customers to control the tub and pay for services from a phone. We built the Android application: sign-in, control screens that publish to an MQTT server, video content through the YouTube API, and payments with Stripe and a Miura card reader through Payworks, with the changes the client asked for along the way.
What we built
- Android app: splash, sign-in, sign-up and video screens
- Temperature and feature control published over MQTT
- Payments through Stripe and a Miura card reader (Payworks)
- Video content through the YouTube API
Technology used
| Layer | Choice | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| App | Android | control and payments |
| Payments | Stripe, Payworks (Miura reader) | in-app and card-present payments |
| Device link | MQTT | commands to the tub controller |
